Hello there internet. I am currently taking my textiles GCSE. Yay! And am aiming to make a Ginger Rogers dress re-worked replica. I am looking to re-work The 'Piccolino' dress from Top Hat (1935) however I would really appreciate any other information about her dresses from 'Swing Time'

Keep Smiling,

It is hand-made and made of many layers to create a stunning piece for the season. I wanted to blog about this piece because I thought it was the highlight of collection but there are so many other beautiful pieces to suit everyones price range. Prices start as low as £9

Why? : Whilst this is beautiful the other pieces are just as nice but 1/4 of the price

Vivienne Westwood - Back To Basics

Vivienne Westwood. An Iconic Fashion Designer. Iconic For Being So Wonderfully Eccentric yet like all great designers she at points has to come back to basics. This season is all about block statement colours such as 'Motel Red'. Pairing up statement colours with a basic white shirt works wonderfully.  Yet Vivienne has still added character. The logo is visible on the left breast and the collar is slightly oversized and one is side is bigger than the other. But as all design greats do - this comes with a hefty price tag. My advice would be to invest in a large packet of gold/brass buttons and get sewing and update all your shirts. There is no school rule as to the colour of your buttons so get updating!

Price: £95
Value for money: 3.5/5
Why? : A Vivienne Westwood piece will last you a lifetime

1st Blog! Ruby Red Slippers

There is no place like home. And there is no place where you can get Dorothy's amazing ruby red slippers other than Patrick Cox. In The Wizard Of Oz book. Dorothy wore silver slippers! But during the filming of the motion picture the fashion team created over 30 different coloured pair of slippers to take advantage of Glorious Technicolour and they decided Red over the other colours and today they are an icon. Patrick Cox has been making his unique Dorothy slippers for years and my parents have promised me since the age of 6 that these shall be my 18th birthday present. In my opinion there are no better replicas elsewhere.
Price - £275
Value for money - 4.5/5
